Whether we rejuvenate your old Eiderdown or make you a new Eiderdown it will be a family heirloom that will be cherished for generations to come.
Eiderdowns first appeared on our beds in Victorian times as an alternative to heavy and scratchy blankets. They are normally encased in sumptuous sateen or a pretty floral chintz and filled with beautiful light goose down.
Most people now use an Eiderdown to "dress" a bed rather than for warmth. Our clients love the pretty patterns and timeless beauty that add glamour and romance to a bedroom.
As with anything handmade they are not cheap, but if treated well they will last several lifetimes.
REJUVENATING AND RE MAKING AN EXISTING EIDERDOWN
If you have an existing eiderdown that has seen better years we are able to remake and copy the existing pattern to keep your heritage intact. We will Rejuvenate the existing filling to ensure it is steralized and ready to last many more generations. Unfortunately we are unable to supple the outer printed fabric (most of our clients source thru an interior designer).Pricing is very dependent upon the size and the pattern you require so please do not hesitate to take a picture of your eiderdown and send the measurements and I can give you a quote.
MANUFACTURING A NEW EIDERDOWN
We take great pride in being able to hand make you a new Eiderdown to your specific needs and design. As above we do not supply the outer fabric.If you have a very specific pattern and size please do not hesitate to email this to me and I can give a quote.

FILL TYPE: 95% Polish Goose Down / 5% Small Goose Feather
FILL POWER: Guaranteed European Standard highest quality 850 fill power (USA Standard 950). Fill power is a measure of the loft or "fluffiness" of a down product. The higher the fill power, the more air a certain weight of down can trap, and thus the more insulating ability the down will have. A fill power of 650 or above is ideal for a quality down quilt or pillow. Please see our FAQ for a more detailed explanation.
Polish Goose Down is the ultimate in high quality bedding and has the unique characteristic of providing lovely warmth with minimal weight. Being a natural product feather & down breathes, absorbing & lifting moisture away from the body preventing the sweaty and clammy build-up often associated with synthetic bedding.
FABRIC: Our high quality down proof japara cotton is tightly woven in a traditional 1 to 1 weave pattern, producing a high quality 329 thread count finish, preventing feather and down escaping through the fabric, whilst also stopping dust and dust mite from penetrating the case.
ASTHMA FRIENDLY AND HYPO ALLERGENIC: All Dyne products are encased in a high thread count cotton that is impenetrable to dust mite, making this quilt a very safe choice for asthma and allergy sufferers.
OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100: This standard ensures no chemicals are used in manufacturing the fabric, safe for you and safe for the environment.
DOWN PASS CERTIFIED: Products with the "Downpass" label stand for high quality and the assurance that the down and feathers used are ethically harvested and come from a strictly controlled and traceable supply chain.
RDS CERTIFIED: The "Responsible Down Standard" ensures that the down and feathers come from ducks and geese that are treated well. This means enabling them to live healthy lives, express innate behaviours and not suffer from pain fear or distress.
DIN CERTCO CERTIFIED: The "Din Certco" certificate is an audited certificate that assures that our suppliers do not derive their down and feathers from live animals.
CHEMICAL FREE: Dyne Down & Feather is guaranteed to be treated at a minimum core temperature of 130 degrees Celsius without the use of any chemicals, this ensures that any bacteria are thoroughly eliminated and you are not sleeping with potentially harmful chemical residues.
